My cat.. the actor, 2002-02-08, 6:55 a.m.
My cat has been perfecting his 'Help me I'm about to get sick' meow. He did it this morning at around 5:30. I paniced, ran out of bed and found him ready to play. Bah. I went back to sleep and when I awoke, couldn't find him. Until I looked back on the bed and saw that he had curled up between D. and I. It's moments like that that make up for the fooling with my head. If only I wasn't so tired!
I've bought Amy Tan's 'The Bonesetters Daughter' and it's really good thus far. In my book cycles, I've made it to Amy Tan. This is after fnishing 'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath, which had followed 'She's Come Undone' by Wally Lamb and 'Girl, Interrupted' by Suzanna Kaysen. There may have been another in there, but looking at the mother-daughter relationship in 'The Bell Jar' inspired my look at Tans Mothers and Daughters. I'm part way through 'The Joy Luck Club' after reading 'The Kitchen Gods Wife' and 'The Hundred Secret Senses'. I love books. I've read others in here, but this is my thread of reading.
Must get ready. The morning time before work is not long enough - yet getting up earlier wouldn't make it better. Thank goodness tommorrow is saturday!
