When a little monkey looks at you, blue eyes wide and says:
"When you get your bandaid off, you'll be able to lift me?"
Your heart breaks a little.
I can't lift Patrick and he knows it. He understands why - because mama has a bad belly and has a bandaid on it. He's learned that mama can't lift him but can give him hugs and kisses. He likes to see my bandaid and says that mama has a bad belly. He helps me up from chairs and gives me hugs and kisses all the time.
And he waits patiently for his supper:

Can't wait until I can lift him again.
