Today, we had an assembly.

In this assembly, we welcomed the students and asked them to think about one year ago. We then played a slide show that was downloaded from this site, showing so many images and faces that it was incredible. Then, a teacher spoke. She discussed how she took in 10 people last year when the planes were grounded and how much she learned and lived with and through them. We had a reading and final words and then the students were asked - do one random act of kindness today. That would make 380 random acts of kindness.

Today some students cried. But today, some students learned. Be kind. Care for others. And never take anyone for granted.

So, please, learn the same lesson. Be kind. Care. Help when you can. Give to those who need it. You'll be rewarded in so many ways.
