I had a student tell me yesterday that she didn't like me because my "teeth are too white and too straight". Considering that I had crazy braces and they're still not that straight, and I don't whiten them, that could be taken as somewhat of a compliment.

I had another student question if I knew how to do my job. Apparently I keep giving them "work" and the class before them had an art project, so they feel I don't know how to do my job. I don't think that getting students to work is a bad thing. In fact I think it's my job.

I'm not sure what to think of all of that. I do think, however, that they're being silly in terms of complaining that they get work. However, that's the teacher in me talking. Not the student.

I will say that it's hellish warm here. And that's it.
