We went to baby class last night. D. wasn't sure if he could make it as they were scheduled for overtime - which would have made a few hundred dollars - but when it was canceled he went. It was all heterosexual couples. I had a brief fantacy of, if D. hadn't been able to make it, dragging a female along and pretending to be the token lesbian couple and putting an education smackdown on all the couples there. Then, when D. could make it, we'd call him the doner. Problem is that they'd remember us so when I went to give birth, they'd wonder about my partner.

Sitting in a room of heterosexual bliss is horrid when you realize how much can be denied others because of their sexuality.

Anyway, baby class went ok. We learned about fetal development. We saw a video. Much of it I knew already but D. learned a lot. Next week we learn about nutrition and breast-feeding. Then it's exercize time and then we're done those classes.

We also got a teeny-tiny diaper. Did you know that babies are really small? Yeah, really small and mommy gets to stay home alone with. Labour? Not scary. After the birth. Holy crap.
